Success Has Seven Enemies

Success has but one enemy, and that enemy is your belief system. I’ve been studying the mindset of successful people for decades, and they share a set of common beliefs. People who struggle to produce the results they want also have shared beliefs, beliefs that are in stark contrast to the beliefs of the more successful.

Here are seven enemies that alone or together destroy the mindset necessary to succeed and reach your goals.

  • Ungrateful: Without a sense of gratitude, you will never develop the mindset that brings success. A lack of gratitude is the seed of negativity and cynicism. Destroy this enemy by answering the question “What are you grateful for right now?”
  • Apathy: A lack of enthusiasm, or a more general indifference, is the surest path to mediocrity. Success, and the results necessary to bring it, has to be passionately pursued. Cure yourself by developing a bigger mission, a bigger reason “why” you must succeed. If you struggle, make a list of the people who are counting on you.
  • Victimhood: The belief that the world is acting on you and that you are powerless to shape your future is the victim’s mindset. Success in any endeavor comes to those who believe they have the power to act and the power to change things. Make a list of your challenges, and then make a list of what actions you can take to produce the results you want. Couple that with a list of resources available to you, and get help where you need it.
  • Learned Helplessness: Belief that you can’t do something or that you can’t learn to do it will repel success away from you. Success knows that what one man can do, another man can do. Inoculate yourself from this belief by getting your hands dirty and trying the things you struggle to do well. Over time, your competence will grow.
  • No Vision: Without a vision of what your future result looks like, there is no drive, no motivation to do what is necessary to move towards it. Your vision becomes your reality. Develop a vision of where you want to be in three years. Dream big. No one is compelled by a small vision.
  • Fear of being judged: Success hides from people who fear being judged by others. The critics aren’t the people for whom you do your work. Success comes to those who “put themselves out there.” Most people won’t care what you do; they’ll ignore you. The people who do care will applaud you for doing what you do. The critics will never love you no matter what, so ignore them and get moving.
  • Lack of Discipline: To have what you want tomorrow you have to forgo what it is you want today. Success comes to those who are willing to suffer a little now and delay their gratification. Make a list of daily disciplines, and keep those disciplines. This is the surest path to success: the daily commitment to act to further one’s goals.

How resistance block what you want from coming to you? Why there is no wrong decisions? What is the only request for the next year?

Resistance blocks what you want from coming to you. You create resistance in yourself by feeling anxious or worried about what you want. That tension causes the resistance and blocks delivery.
If you feel tense when you think of what you want, it is time to relax, relax, relax. Let your body relax your mind by allowing your body to be floppy and as fluid as water. Every time you feel yourself starting to tense up, relax your body until you feel floppy again.

Make a decision and then make it right. There just are no wrong decisions. You could go this way, or that way, and either way will eventually get you to where you want to be. But in the moment you start complimenting yourself on the decision you’ve made, in that moment, you come back into vibrational alignment with who-you-really-are.

AHAS for December 30, 2013


Why it is possible to be happy and joyful most of the time? Why it is better to focus on one thing at a time sometimes? What does it mean when you feel enthusiasm to do something? How excited would you be about the new year…?

It is possible to be happy and joyful most of the time. You just have to look at little children and see their natural joy. You may say that little children are free and don’t have anything to worry about, but you are free too! You are free to choose worry or to choose joy, and whatever you choose will attract exactly that. Worry attracts more worry. Joy attracts more joy.

Sometimes it is better to focus on one thing at a time, so that you harness all your energy for the one thing. That said, you can list multiple things that you want and spend one day at a time focusing on each one, feeling as though you have received it. You will most likely find that the things you have the least concern about will come first, because your lack of concern allows the Universe to easily deliver.

When you feel enthusiasm to do something, it means you’ve lined up the Energy, and you are being inspired to take action from that point of alignment. When you don’t feel like doing it, don’t push yourself, because your effort is not worth it. But, when you line up the Energy, the feeling of procrastination goes away.

Mentally Strong People: The 13 Things They Avoid


1. Waste Time Feeling Sorry for Themselves.
You don’t see mentally strong people feeling sorry for their circumstances or dwelling on the way they’ve been mistreated. They have learned to take responsibility for their actions and outcomes, and they have an inherent understanding of the fact that frequently life is not fair. They are able to emerge from trying circumstances with self-awareness and gratitude for the lessons learned. When a situation turns out badly, they respond with phrases such as “Oh, well.” Or perhaps simply, “Next!”

2. Give Away Their Power.
Mentally strong people avoid giving others the power to make them feel inferior or bad. They understand they are in control of their actions and emotions. They know their strength is in their ability to manage the way they respond.

3. Shy Away from Change.
Mentally strong people embrace change and they welcome challenge. Their biggest “fear,” if they have one, is not of the unknown, but of becoming complacent and stagnant. An environment of change and even uncertainty can energize a mentally strong person and bring out their best.

4. Waste Energy on Things They Can’t Control.
Mentally strong people don’t complain (much) about bad traffic, lost luggage, or especially about other people, as they recognize that all of these factors are generally beyond their control. In a bad situation, they recognize that the one thing they can always control is their own response and attitude, and they use these attributes well.

5. Worry About Pleasing Others.
Know any people pleasers? Or, conversely, people who go out of their way to dis-please others as a way of reinforcing an image of strength? Neither position is a good one. A mentally strong person strives to be kind and fair and to please others where appropriate, but is unafraid to speak up. They are able to withstand the possibility that someone will get upset and will navigate the situation, wherever possible, with grace.

6. Fear Taking Calculated Risks.
A mentally strong person is willing to take calculated risks. This is a different thing entirely than jumping headlong into foolish risks. But with mental strength, an individual can weigh the risks and benefits thoroughly, and will fully assess the potential downsides and even the worst-case scenarios before they take action.

7. Dwell on the Past.
There is strength in acknowledging the past and especially in acknowledging the things learned from past experiences—but a mentally strong person is able to avoid miring their mental energy in past disappointments or in fantasies of the “glory days” gone by. They invest the majority of their energy in creating an optimal present and future.

8. Make the Same Mistakes Over and Over.
We all know the definition of insanity, right? It’s when we take the same actions again and again while hoping for a different and better outcome than we’ve gotten before. A mentally strong person accepts full responsibility for past behavior and is willing to learn from mistakes. Research shows that the ability to be self-reflective in an accurate and productive way is one of the greatest strengths of spectacularly successful executives and entrepreneurs.

9. Resent Other People’s Success.
It takes strength of character to feel genuine joy and excitement for other people’s success. Mentally strong people have this ability. They don’t become jealous or resentful when others succeed (although they may take close notes on what the individual did well). They are willing to work hard for their own chances at success, without relying on shortcuts.

10. Give Up After Failure.
Every failure is a chance to improve. Even the greatest entrepreneurs are willing to admit that their early efforts invariably brought many failures. Mentally strong people are willing to fail again and again, if necessary, as long as the learning experience from every “failure” can bring them closer to their ultimate goals.

11. Fear Alone Time.
Mentally strong people enjoy and even treasure the time they spend alone. They use their downtime to reflect, to plan, and to be productive. Most importantly, they don’t depend on others to shore up their happiness and moods. They can be happy with others, and they can also be happy alone.

12. Feel the World Owes Them Anything.
Particularly in the current economy, executives and employees at every level are gaining the realization that the world does not owe them a salary, a benefits package and a comfortable life, regardless of their preparation and schooling. Mentally strong people enter the world prepared to work and succeed on their merits, at every stage of the game.

13. Expect Immediate Results.
Whether it’s a workout plan, a nutritional regimen, or starting a business, mentally strong people are “in it for the long haul”. They know better than to expect immediate results. They apply their energy and time in measured doses and they celebrate each milestone and increment of success on the way. They have “staying power.” And they understand that genuine changes take time.

Which things can only come into your experience? What does continue the motion forward itself?

You are an electromagnetic being emitting a frequency. Only those things that are on the same frequency as the one you are emitting can come into your experience. Every single person, event, and circumstance in your day is telling you what frequency you are on.
If your day is not going well, stop and deliberately change your frequency. If your day is going swimmingly, keep doing what you are doing.

Those that we see who are living long lives don’t do so without powerful intent that keeps drawing. In other words, what continues the motion forward itself is the continuing setting forth of the new intent that draws life through. In fact, intending for long life assures that you must be leading the parade; people don’t start diminishing their life until they stop leading and start falling back into the ranks of the parade, trying to do what others are leading them to do.

Your Inner Being would want you to manifest everything that you decide that you want. Your Inner Being would want you to know that you have value and the ability to have or be or do anything. Your Inner Being would want you to fulfill every wish and whim that you could identify.

Which door does giving open? What does cause energy misalignment? What is the only thing that matters between here and there, from now ’til then?

Giving opens up the door to receiving. You have so many opportunities to give every day.
Give kind words. Give a smile. Give appreciation and love. Give compliments. You can give courtesy to other motorists while you are driving. You can give a smile to the car parking attendant. You can give a warm greeting to the newspaper stand person or the person who makes your coffee. You can give by allowing a stranger to go ahead of you into an elevator, and you can give by asking which floor they are going to and pressing the button for them. If someone drops something you can give a helping hand and pick it up for them. You can give warm embraces to those you love. And you can give appreciation and encouragement to everyone.
There are so many opportunities for you to give and thereby open the door to receiving.

Just do your best to keep yourself in balance. One of the first things that causes Energy misalignment, is asking or demanding too much of yourself in terms of time and effort. In other words, you just cannot burn the candle at both ends, so that you are physically tired, and then expect yourself to have a cheerful attitude. So, the rule of thumb has to be: “I’m going to be very, very, very happy, and then do everything I have time to do after that.”

Pure gratitude is a state of giving. When you are in a state of heartfelt gratitude you are radiating a powerful electromagnetic field around you. The radiations from you are so pure and powerful that they touch all those you come into contact with. The Effect on others who receive what you are radiating would be impossible to trace – the ripple effect from one person to another never ends.

Everything exists for joy. There is not one other reason for life than joy. We’ve got nothing to prove to anyone, because nobody other than All-That-Is is watching. In other words, we’re not trying to get brownie points from some other galaxy. We’re not trying to get someplace else; we’re not trying to get it done, because there is no ending—we cannot get it done. Everything exists for the purpose of joy in the moment.

How you can attract money? What is the most valuable skill or talent that you could ever develop?

If you want to attract money, you may find that you have more power by imagining having the things you want the money for. If there is a lack of money in your life, then your feelings and beliefs about money are most likely not very good, and thinking instead about having the things money will buy may feel much better. You have to learn to decipher your feelings and choose the thoughts that feel better to you.

The most valuable skill or talent that you could ever develop is that of directing your thoughts toward what you want—to be adept at quickly evaluating all situations and then quickly coming to the conclusion of what you most want—and then giving your undivided attention to that. There is a tremendous skill in deliberately directing your own thoughts that will yield results that cannot be compared with results that mere action can provide.

Why it is not enough to know the principles in The Secret?

Why do people may get little scared of thinking negative thoughts when they first start using The Secret? From which components did you create yourself? Why you must use what you’ve got?

It is not enough to know the principles in The Secret – you must DO them, unceasingly, every single day. You must LIVE the principles. Step by step you will become the master of your thoughts and feelings, and the master of your life.
There is nothing more important than this, because your whole future life relies on you.

When people first start using The Secret, they may get little scared of thinking negative thoughts. Because of that fear, when they think a good thought, immediately the opposite thought may come into their mind. This is not unusual. However, I want you to know that this phase passes very, very quickly. And the easiest way for it to pass is to pay no attention whatsoever to the negative thoughts. Just ignore them and then think a good thought. When a negative thought comes, just shrug it off as if you don’t care about it one bit, and think a good though to replace it.

You created yourself from the components of this time/space reality. You did not come from another planet. For most of you it is (slightly) easier to believe that some spaceship came in from another planet and dropped some of you off, and now, you’ve really got it going good. And the same spaceship also brought…(oh no, that’s the Noah’s ark story) two of everybody else. And so, now, you’ve got the same problem with this story that you do with Noah’s ark: It must have been a smelly boat…And how did all those species get on it? (and where did they come from?) You see?

What happen when you exist in the state of gratitude? What equals the content of your vibration?

When you exist in the beautiful state of gratitude, you become a person who only wants to give. You become so grateful that it takes over your life, and you can’t find enough opportunities in a day to give. You give joy, you give love, you give money, you give appreciation, you give compliments, and you give kindness. You give the best of yourself in your job, in your relationships, and to strangers.
You will know when you have really found true gratitude, because you will become a giver. One who is truly grateful cannot be anything else.

The content of your vibration equals how you feel right now. And whether you’re thinking about the past, the present, or the future, how you feel right now — as you think about the past, the present, or the future — is your life. How can you help others through your thoughts? Why you cannot look at that which you do not want and not join and perpetuate that vibration?

You can most certainly help others through your thoughts, and they can help you. Every good thought you send to another is a living force. However, the person you are sending the thought to has to be asking for the same thing you are sending. If the person does not want it, then they are not in harmony with your thought frequency, and it will not penetrate them.
You cannot create in another’s life against their will, but if it is something they want, your thoughts are a real force that helps them.

You cannot look at that which you do not want and not join and perpetuate that vibration. Take your attention from that which is not in harmony with who you are, and in taking your attention from it, your “now vibration” will adjust to who you really are, and then you can uplift others.

Who is the captain of your ship? Why you cannot look at that which you do not want and not join and perpetuate that vibration? Acting as if…?

Who is the captain of your ship? You know that if no one is steering a ship then that ship will be battered about in the seas and crash into rocks. Think of your body as a ship and your mind as the engine, and you as the captain of your ship!
Take charge of your ship so that you can use the power of your engine to steer the ship to the destination you want.

Do We Teach People How To Treat Us?


How we respond to others and how others respond to us can appear to be random and without reason at times. And at others times, it can be patently obvious as to why we have behaved as we have towards another or why they behaved as they have towards us.

But whether one is aware of their behavior or not, one is still playing a large part in how others are treating them. The same is true of another person and in how one treats them.

Even though one has a certain amount control and influence over how others treat them, it doesn’t mean that this control and influence is always utilized. In some cases, one may be completely unaware of this and come to conclude that they are just observing what is taking place. One could then end up feeling like a victim of circumstance.


Now, some areas of one’s life will be more important than others when it comes to how they teach others to treat them. Ones partner or lover, colleagues, family and friends are all going to be vital areas here.

If one has a lot of interactions in these relationships where they are not being treated in a way that honors who they are, then how they have behaved in the past and continue to behave is likely to be a key factor.


What can make it difficult to notice that one is having an effect on how others treat them is if this behavior feels normal. And this could be due to them having put up with this kind of behavior since the very beginning of their life.

So one may not think about the role they are playing in all of this as there experience of others has always been the same. It could then be seen as how life is and as a reflection of who one is.


If one is treated by others in a way that is empowering or respectful, it won’t be a problem. But if one is treated by others in a way that is disrespectful and disempowering then problems will arise.

Perhaps one is has become accustomed to: being taken advantage of, controlled, compromised, abused, humiliated and continually let down by others for instance.

While one may believe that this is out of their control, if they look close enough they will see that there are patterns to how people treat them. With there being nothing random or unexpected about how others treat them. One may expect to be treated in these ways.

Different Stages

As one looks back on how each interaction started and the ones that followed, there will be certain clues. And these could subtle or they could be painfully obvious. And how one responded to how the other person behaved during these interactions will often define how they will behave in future interactions.

This could relate to one tolerating certain behaviors that didn’t feel right and even though this was the case, they didn’t speak up or let the other person know.


And when one doesn’t inform the other person that how they are behaving in not acceptable, either verbally or non-verbally, then the other person is going to assume that is it acceptable. They don’t even have to be someone who is malicious; all they are doing is responding to the signals that are being given.

This is not to say that everything another person does is pure in intention, as some people do try to take advantage of others. And this is when one needs to respond in the right way; so that another person comes to realize that their behavior is not acceptable.


At a deeper level, the reason one puts up with certain behavior that doesn’t honor who they are is because it will feel comfortable. And so it is often more about ones inner resistance to standing up for themselves than it is about what the other person is or is not doing.

The ego mind creates associations of familiarity around things that one has experienced a lot. And these become what are classed as safe. So going against what feels comfortable can feel like death to the mind.


What one feels comfortable with and what they don’t will have to be questioned. As it won’t be healthy to feel comfortable putting up with behavior that is disrespectful and invalidates who one is.

Here, it might be beneficial to take a closer look at the relationships in one’s life that are dysfunctional and to what the defining moments were. Or the small things that were allowed to accumulate and get out of hand.

Self Image

The perception one has of themselves will often define what they will and won’t put up with. And so as ones idea of themselves changes, the type of behavior they will or won’t put up with will change.

This may involve letting go of certain things that no longer reflect who one is. As this happens, one will be less likely to be attracted to or attract people who are disrespectful into their life. And this can be done through the assistance of a therapist, healer or some kind of coach. Or some kind of self inquiry can assist one in this process.

Be aware of the big difference between inspired action and activity. Activity comes from the brain-mind and is rooted in disbelief and lack of faith – you are taking action to “make” your desire happen. Inspired action is allowing the law to work through you and to move you. Activities feels hard. Inspired action feels wonderful.

Become Happier And More Empowered


In a search for happiness, many people look for it in other people and not within ourselves. Many people feel that things like money, a better job, better relationships..etc will make them happy. In reality, to find true contentment you must look inside yourself and learn to be your own best friend. That means you have to trust, love, and care for yourself just as you do the people you consider to be close to you.

Following are steps that you can incorporate into your life that will help you to feel more empowered and happy about yourself!

Begin to lift yourself up, not put yourself down. If you don’t like something about yourself, work to change it. If you can’t change it, simply accept it. Don’t beat up on yourself with negative self-talk. You’re not likely to change for the better when you fill yourself with negative thoughts.

Give yourself positive rewards. When you do something that you are proud of give yourself a small reward. Try not to wait for others to praise you because you may grow resentful if the praise doesn’t come. Pat your own back, it is a great feeling that can stay with you for a long time.

Forgive yourself. I doubt that you would keep scolding a child over and over for making a mistake so don’t do that to yourself. Give yourself the gift of forgiveness when you make a mistake. After that, work to figure out what lesson you can learn, and use it to make better choices the next time around.

Enjoy your successes. Most people can remember all of the details of depressing, painful or even embarrassing events that happened many years ago. What if you did the same thing with all of your wins? Try to remember all of the triumphs and accomplishments that you’ve made and keep that memory with you and think about it at least once a week.

Always remember to celebrate your wonderful qualities! You will soon discover that the more you love yourself, the more you will be able to give love to others – and the more others will be able to love you!

You will never be in a place where all of the things that you are wanting will be satisfied right now, or then you could be complete — and you never can be.
This incomplete place that you stand is the best place that you could be. You are right on track, right on schedule. Everything is unfolding perfectly. All is really well. Have fun. Have fun. Have fun!

Why We Experience Pain And Why It Can Be Good For Us


You will have experienced pain in your life at a physical, emotional and/or mental level. This part of the chapter is about the pain you experience, why you experience it and what you can learn from it.

Why Is There Pain And Suffering In Life?

Humans can be strange creatures. It is often only through pain and suffering that we take the time to really get to know ourselves and make changes in our life. Many of us also do not value things that are too easily achieved, i.e. that we get without pain.

Pain is an inevitable part of life. If, however, you are choosing to walk the high road (rather than the low road), you will be minimizing the amount of pain and suffering you would otherwise experience as you voluntarily choose to learn your lessons before the pain becomes so great that you are forced to.

So why do we have pain in our lives? Your conscious and your unconscious (or soul) will give you very different answers to this question.

How Your Conscious Mind Sees Pain?

If we are honest, most of us see suffering as something unpleasant to be endured or avoided. We see the better times in life to be those when we are experiencing harmony, contentment and happiness. When we are content, however, we do not feel the need to search for answers. The times in life that make us grow and give us the depth to our character are not those times spent in harmony, contentment and happiness, but rather those time spent in adversity. In the same way that a baby who continued to lie quietly and contently on a rug would never learn to crawl and then walk, so it is for us. It is the times of frustration and pain that move us forward and help us to grow.

There are times in most lives, when we feel we cannot endure what life is throwing at us. During those times I remind myself that I chose this life and I would not have chosen things I did not believe I could endure or grow from.

How Your Soul Sees It?

Your soul or unconscious sees pain and suffering as the opportunity for healing, growth and understanding. Struggle is natural to growth. In the same way that metal is made stronger each time it is returned to the fire and then struck on the anvil, so too are you made stronger each time you endure adversity. Eventually the suffering and pain fades and you are left with the gifts that are their legacy.

For example, several years ago I found that I had an enormous cyst growing from my adrenal gland and an unknown lump growing in my liver. I underwent two lots of surgery to have them removed. Each surgery was painful and required a lengthy period of recuperation.

I had plenty of time to reflect on life during the long days I spent in hospital beds recovering. One day I thought back over my life and how I had reached this point. I made the connection between life’s toughest moments and the character strengths I felt I had gained from them. I took the time to write to those people who had caused me the most distress in my life and thanked them for the experience and the character strengths I felt I had gained as a result of my interaction with them.

Although you have designed this lifetime in advance, while you are here you still have the power of freewill. Unconsciously, you can choose whether or not you will
experience some of the suffering you had planned to help you with your growth.

This is illustrated in a story told by a subject in The Journey of Souls by Michael Newton. In the story a little girl chose to live a life where she could help others to learn. To ensure she did this, she chose at the age of 8 to fall out of a carriage and land beneath its wheels. As a result of this accident, she suffered immense pain in her legs and was crippled for the rest of her life.

Living and coping with the pain gave her powers of concentration above and beyond those experienced by other people. She used these powers of focus later in life to become an inspirational teacher. The fact that she was bound in a wheelchair meant she lived a life focused more upon mental and emotional rather than physical skills as she had deliberately unconsciously chosen to remove them from that lifetime. The very thing that seemed to be such a tragic event was the very thing that in the end meant she would become successful in her chosen career and ensure her personal growth.

While in a trance state the subject was able to explain the unconscious moment of choice she experienced before she continued to play with the carriage door until it opened. She knew that she could stop playing with the door and avoid falling out of the carriage and becoming crippled. She knew that if she did this, she would still have a good life, but she wouldn’t experience the same level of personal growth and neither would she serve others to the same degree.

Find The Positive In Your Pain

As difficult as it sounds, there is reason to be positive about your pain and suffering. As a friend said to me while you are alive”. Although at the time I wanted to say rude and sarcastic things to him, in hindsight I came to find the truth in his words. Those times you are experiencing pain in life are also the times that you are growing and learning the fastest.

In every situation, look for the learning you can get from it. Once you have it, the pain generally ceases. Gain the growth and cease the pain. If the pain continues, it is a good indication that there is still something for you to ‘get’ (a lesson or understanding) from the experience.

Change in a country begins with one person. Each country reflects the inner peace or turmoil of its mass population, and so as one person changes they affect the rest of the population. One person has the power within them to bring massive change to their country through immense love and peace within themselves. But we cannot bring about peace and well-being to our country unless we have conquered that in our own life. Do you see? You cannot give what you do not have.
Each person’s job is to bring utter harmony into their own life, and then they will become the greatest human gift for their country and the world.

The process of creation is always about you getting yourself into harmony with what you want. It is never about the law of attraction. One day you think good thoughts, then the next day not such good thoughts, and then the next day good thoughts, and so on.

As you change the way you feel, you access the Energy that creates worlds. It is there for your ready access at all times.

Why most people can manifest small things quickly but not bigger things? You get to choose?

Most people can manifest the small things quickly. This is because they do not have any resistance around the small things, and because they don’t think thoughts that contradict them. When it comes to the bigger things, however, people often emit thoughts of doubt or worry that contradict those bigger things. This is the only difference in terms of the time it takes for something to manifest.
Nothing is big or small for the Universe.

You can be happy or sad, it doesn’t matter. You get to choose. You can go this way or that way. You get to choose. Figure it all out as you go. There’s not one right path. There are many right paths. Do anything you can do — which means think it or speak it or do it — that makes you feel a little better.

Quick Tip 3: Let Go of What Was

Turn the page and move forward. I mean really move forward.

Don’t dog-ear the page and then turn it, but move forward without looking back.

The past is history. Holding on to the negative events of the past and wishing things were different (or dwelling on what happened) is not going to change the past.

It’s time to let go. It’s time to embrace all the new and wonderful things about to come into your life.

Quick Tips 4: Recreate Your Reality

Often when we are feeling unhappy, stressed, angry, or frustrated, we believe it is because of our problems we are experiencing or the situation we find ourselves in. This isn’t true.

In reality, it is our “thoughts” about our problems or situation that are causing our negative feelings to emerge (not the event itself).

Look for the silver-lining in your situation, shift your thoughts about what is happening, and realize that how you are feeling is directly related to how you are interpreting your situation.

Your thoughts are what’s causing you to feel how you feel.

Begin modulating thought in terms of the way that it feels rather than in terms of the results that it will net you. The tendency is to flow a little Energy and then take score. Well, the problem is, as you flow the Energy, the Universe responds instantly. But when you take score, you’re right back in that reality again.

Quick Tip 1: Create a Circle of Light

Surround yourself by the “right” people. Surround yourself with people who will elevate you, who have your best interests at heart, and who will come from a place of compassion and unconditional love when they advise you.

The last thing you need is to be judged, informed “I told you so,” or lectured by someone who will add fuel to the fire and destabilize you in your delicate state.

Quick Tip 2: Surrender to What Is

Stop resisting to what is happening in your life. If you are complaining, angry, frustrated, or wishing that things were different or were like they “used to be,” you are resisting what is.

Accept your situation exactly the way it is and stop judging it. Why? Because it IS the way it is. All those negative feelings are not going to change your situation. Accept it as a fact. That’s it.

So for example, if you’re $10,000 in debt, don’t add drama to the situation and make it mean all kinds of negative things. It just is the way it is. You are $10,000 in debt. It isn’t good, it isn’t bad, it just “is”. Once you are able to do that, you are releasing all the negative energy around it and surrendering to the situation.

This act alone will assist you to move forward, gain mental clarity, find solutions, and help you attract positive wonderful things and situations into your life.

Everything is energy, and energy is in continual motion and change. If energy stood still, you would be gone, and there would be no life.

You’re always getting a perfect vibrational match to what you predominantly give your attention to. But you’ve got to make the best of it. You’ve got to vibrate slightly different from where you are if you are going to improve where you are. Are You Resisting Prosperity? [This May Surprise You]


Are you resisting prosperity? If you are like most folks I ask this question, your answer was probably a resounding ‘NO WAY!’…


Here’s the deal, whatever it is that isn’t showing up in your life you are resisting on some level. Even if you don’t realize it. (And often you don’t)…

And resistance causes you to vibrate in alignment with the resistance to what you desire instead of with the desire itself.

And you already know that you MUST be a vibrational match for what you desire for it to show up.

Sometimes people get upset when I bring this up, and say things like, “How could I be resisting my desires when ALL I think about is attracting what I desire?”

And my answer to that is, are you sure you are thinking about attracting what you desire? Or are you focusing on the lack of what you desire?

When I say resistance I don’t mean that you are sitting there thinking ‘I don’t want money, I don’t want health, I don’t want love.”

That would be ridiculous, however resistance is clever and shows up in different ways that you may not realize.

Here are some of the most damaging ways resistance shows up…

– Judging other people for having what you desire.

– Judging yourself for NOT having what you desire.

– Thinking that if you have your desires you will have to sacrifice something you value deeply.

– Questioning if you deserve your desires.

– Questioning if there is enough of what you desire for you and everyone else.

– Wondering if you are capable of having what you desire.

And so on…

Now you can see how all of these things are forms of resistance. And as long as you are in the vibration of resistance, you will repel exactly what you desire.

Now, here’s the good news…

You can shift your vibration from resistance to receiving fast!

And the first step is to be aware of where you are experiencing that resistance, and you can use the resistance list I gave you above to help you with that.

Once you are aware of your resistance, release your need to judge yourself for it (as that only causes more resistance) and then ask yourself this power question…

“What is the opposite focus or belief of my resistance?”

When you do this, you instantly start to shift into vibrational alignment WITH your desires and then what you order from the Universe is able to flow into your life quickly and easily!

Unsinkable Series (11/14): Step 11 – Allow It

STEP 11: Allow It

The eleventh and final step is allow it.

What that means is we want all these things, but we’re not willing to receive them. You need to be willing to receive. The best way to receive it is to one, remove all doubt that this is going to come to you.

If you have doubt, that is negative energy. Just get that. A lot of times people say I want more money, and then money comes to them and they don’t receive it. They don’t receive it.

I remember someone had taken a video of one of my workshops, just as a gesture, here you go – not charging me anything, I didn’t ask him to do it he chose to do
it out of the goodness of his own heart and he just said here you go.

I said okay great let me give you some money here. He said no, I don’t want any money. I said; but I want to give you some money. He said no, that’s okay. I said to him – but didn’t we talk in the workshop about how you want to attract abundance into your life? He said yes. I said, I’m giving you abundance right now and you’re choosing not to take it. You need to learn how to receive. He said thank you.

Allow it. You have to be ready to receive it. Be aware of it, remove all doubt. It is going to happen. You don’t think it’s going to happen it’s not going to happen, it’s that simple. Listen, other people are living your dream life. If they’re doing it, so can you. I don‟t understand what the big deal is. You’re not any different than anyone else. I’m not any different than anyone else.

I’m not better, I’m not worse – I’m just me. A lot of times in my workshops people say I want to do what you’re doing – then do it. Oh no, tell me what kind of certification did you do and what schooling did you go to and what public speaking course did you take?

I did nothing. I read a lot, learned a lot, really learned from my life lessons, put them all together, stood in front of a group and said hey this is my story and this is what I’ve learned. You can take it, leave it, believe it, not believe it, whatever – it’s up to you.

Stop all this I have to one day, when, I’m going to do all this and have all simple as that.

Stop all this I have to one day, when, I’m going to do all this and have all your ducks lined up, waiting for the stars to line up – that’s never going to happen. Just get out there and start doing what you want to do. It’s as simple as that.

The tenth step is to connect mind, body and spirit.

It’s so important to connect to nature, it’s important to meditate, journal, really get very connected to what’s outside of you, connected to what’s inside of you, and in there I talk about exercise, the importance of exercise, the importance of eating healthy, the importance of taking time to yourself every single day.

We are so busy doing- doing- doing, but in reality, if you take time every single day out of your life. Even if it’s 30 minutes in the morning before, right when you wake up or wake up 30 minutes earlier and take time for yourself; the rest of the day will be way better and you will be in a much more peaceful mental state.

How can you check whether you are on track with attracting what you want? Why is it important to be in vibrational sync with who you really are? When do miracles happen?

Here is a way to check whether you are on track with attracting what you want. Do you feel tense and anxious about it? Are you feeling pressure or stress about when it will arrive? Feel your body, too. It is soft and relaxed? Or is it tense? If you do have feelings of tension, you are on the wrong track, and those feelings are keeping your desire away from you. Be totally relaxed, completely calm, and without any concern of when, where, or how it will arrive.
Every time you think of your desire, deliberately relax, relax, relax, and keep relaxing your body until you can feel that the tension has completely gone.

The more in vibrational sync you are with who you really are, then the more you are allowing only those things that you’re wanting, and the less resistance there is. And the less resistance there is, then the less delay between the idea of the thought and the receiving of it.

Life Optimization Coaching Certification Program – The Value Of Coaching To Support Your Business And Your Life


In our daily lives as well as in our businesses, we typically operate from the perspective of doing the best we know how to do in dealing with life’s challenges and opportunities. If we knew what it would take to be more effective in our relationships, more productive in our activities or more successful in reaching our goals, we would surely alter our behavior to correspond with these insights. The only access we ordinarily have to impact our lives comes from the areas of “what we know” and “what we don’t know.” In our efforts to achieve more, we usually resort to increasing what we do know by learning to do things a little better, a little different or we simply do more of a behavior that produced a certain result for us in the past. This behavior can predictably result in small, incremental increases in our ability to impact our business and our world. Likewise, by educating ourselves in the arena of “what we don’t know,” this knowledge then becomes part of what we now do know. As an example, if you are computer illiterate and you apply yourself to learn how to adeptly operate a computer, you will have successfully taken something that you do not know and converted it into what you now know. More than 95% of our efforts are spent in these two arenas ¯ what we know and what we don’t know.

However, our most extraordinary growth comes from outside the arena of what we know or don’t know. This composes the vast variety of ideas that we are blind to, not knowing that they even exist. It’s in this arena of “what we don’t know we don’t know” that breakthrough or ah-ha experiences occur.

So how do you gain access to this fertile territory if you don’t even know that it exists? The answer lies in recruiting the help of a coach who can support you to explore this rich domain that is outside of your customary way of viewing the world and acting upon its challenges. Your coaches should be individuals who themselves possess the key principles that make them powerful in the particular arena they offer coaching. A coach may be powerful in some arenas but not necessarily in others. The same person who is qualified to coach you in business matters may be totally unqualified to coach you in the area of relationships or spiritual matters. True coaches do not give advice or lend their opinions. They are value based, not ego based. They do not manipulate or exploit to carry out their own agenda. They are totally nonjudgmental. They are not the same as counselors or therapists. They do not try to protect, control or rescue those they are coaching. They instead listen for where one may be experiencing challenges or may be missing some key element that, if put into place, would impact a desired result. Coaches support us in seeing something that we may not be aware of by listening both to what we say and to what we leave out. They have empathy for the person being coached but are not emotionally attached to an outcome. They serve to champion people to have their lives work optimally. They do this by asking questions, exploring possibilities, making requests and, at times, confronting issues that may need to be examined. Skilled coaching is a fine art and a highly valuable service.

For a coaching relationship to be possible, there must exist an open willingness on the part of the person being coached to undergo the process. Of course, total confidentiality must exist to allow for the freedom necessary to explore any and all areas that may need to be explored. The absence of judging and advice creates the opening needed to fully examine any possibility.

Coaching is typically undertaken in any of six major areas of life: business/career, health, wealth, relationships, spirituality/personal development or recreation/passions. A good coach will clarify if his or her coaching client is open to explore any or all of these areas or if the coaching relationship is agreed to be limited to any one or more areas. True coaches are value-based and interact with honor and respect while, at the same time, they are not reluctant to call someone on their “stuff” out of a solid commitment to champion the person’s excellence and best interests…

Successful coaches:
– Listen for what may be missing to accomplish a result or honor a person’s values.
– Lead by example and champion others to step into leadership.
– Are committed to their client’s excellence and, at the same time, not attached to his or her responses.
– Are grounded in value-based personal development principles.
– Hold those they coach as totally capable and competent while looking for what might be missing for them to fully experience their magnificence.
– Source the person coached to be their best and live with passion while playing full out to accomplish their goals.
– Never make the person coached small or dependent.
– Champion the person coached to be the best they can be with the goal of ultimate invisibility for themselves as a coach. The coach’s ego must not be a factor in the relationship.
– Have permission to tell the truth and not step over uncomfortable topics or situations in order to avoid discomfort or look good.
– Create a safe atmosphere that allows for the client to be vulnerable and open to possibilities.
– Support their coaching clients in an accountability structure, ensuring that they follow through on what they say they will do.
– Support the free flow of ideas and conversations for possibilities through idea streaming.

It is helpful for any coaching relationship to begin by developing clarity with respect to the client’s overall vision. This vision should include every aspect of the person’s life and business. From this wide-ranging perspective, it is then possible to develop a plan to accomplish any goals. These goals would themselves comprise a component of the big picture by fulfilling or working toward one aspect of the vision’s realization.

A productive coaching relationship can focus on either a life or business project. In the realm of business, a coaching relationship is often best undertaken within the context of a project or action plan that is grounded in time. By focusing on producing specific and measurable results, a coach can support a client to best work through any business stops or life challenges en route to the accomplishment of one’s goals. A coach can also assist in gaining clarity on all conditions of satisfaction that may be important to a project’s fulfillment. Such conditions might include those non-measurable items that would need to take place for a project to be considered a success. These might include developing stronger relationships with family members, spending quality time with children, devoting a minimum amount of time daily to meeting one’s own needs, taking a well deserved vacation, etc.

Many people mistakenly assume that they can be successful in business without being successful in other areas of their lives. Our businesses are an important component of our lives, but only one such component. If there is an imbalance in any of the six prominent areas of our lives, any business accomplishment will be somehow incomplete. For this reason, a good coach will support a client to adapt a whole-thinking perspective in which mastery of all areas of life is the ultimate goal. For this reason, personal development is an essential component of any business coaching relationship. As one undertakes the personal improvement process, increased business productivity will surely result.

Just as an Olympic athlete in pursuit of a gold medal would not think of undertaking such an accomplishment without the support of a coach, most people would likewise benefit from a coaching relationship. Coaching can add fun and excitement to every aspect of your life as you take on the challenge of reinventing yourself and your business, always in search of excellence. STEP 9: Choose Your Friends Carefully

The ninth step is to choose your friends carefully.

That is so important, especially when you’re going through a difficult time.

My friend,Cindy, was there for me when I was going through my difficult time and I remember giving her a call.

I had a mini breakdown – and its okay.

You just let it go, you need to release it. You need to release it otherwise it turns into disease.

Not only that, you’re holding onto negative stuff, negative energy. If you’re saying I’m going through all this stuff but I don’t want to think about it now, I’m going to go out with my friends, you’re just distracting yourself so you don’t have to feel what’s going on and deal with the situation. Oh my God, it’s going to be hard to manifest abundance in your life.

It really is, because you are holding onto that negative stuff that you had deeply buried, deep inside. You need to release that. You feel like crying, you cry. Let it out.

Anyway I called her, and these were the only words. She picked up the phone and said hello, and all I said was please tell me everything is going to be okay. I was crying. Her words to me were – don’t worry, it will. Everything will be okay. And it was. I mean it’s beyond okay, it‟s fantastic.

Choose your friends carefully. Make sure you have an amazing support group. Don’t hang around negative people don’t hang around people who gossip. Talking negatively about other people is negative energy, stop that.

Come from a place of love and just be around people that are living great lives and are positive who bring you up and put you on a pedestal, not people who bring you down and tell you their problems and poor me, victims.

Stay away from those people.

What is happiness? What is a difference between feeling gratitude and appreciation of something, and feeling attachment to something? Why your action has nothing to do with your abundance?

Happiness is a state of being, and comes from the inside of you. By the law of attraction you must become on the inside what you want on the outside.
You are either choosing to be happy now, or you are making up excuses for not choosing to be happy. But there are no excuses for the law!

There is a difference between feeling gratitude and appreciation of something, and feeling attachment to something. Appreciation and gratitude are states of pure love, while attachment contains fear – fear of losing or not having what you are attached to. When it comes to something you want in your life, appreciation and gratitude attract, and attachment pushes away. If you are feeling afraid that you will not get what you want, or losing what you have, then you have attachment.
To remove the attachment, keep shifting yourself into a state of appreciation and gratitude, until you can feel that the fear is gone.

Your action has nothing to do with your abundance! Your abundance is a response to your vibration. Of course, your belief is part of your vibration. So if you believe that action is part of what brings your abundance, then you’ve got to unravel that.

STEP 8: Be Grateful

The eighth step is be grateful.

We’ve all heard of being grateful and how important it is absolutely. Focus on the things you do have in your life.

Let me tell you; I’ve been on a lot of humanitarian missions throughout the world, and I’ve seen people that all they have are the shorts they’re wearing, and that’s it. No shoes, no shirt, barely have a roof over their head, it’s some tin roof, they don’t have any money, they don’t know where their next meal is coming from, they have five children to feed but they don’t know how they’re going to feed them.

Let me tell you, we don’t have it bad. I don’t care if you are $100,000 or half a million dollars or whatever in debt, you’re still better off than those other
people. There are always other people that are in a worse situation than you are, get over it, move forward, deal with it, accept it.

Things will change for you your greatest life is around the corner. Move forward, don’t worry about it, just deal with it and find the solutions.

Be grateful, think of the great things you have in your life.

STEP 7: Unleash the Past

The seventh step is unleash the past.

Let me tell you; like I said, the past doesn’t exist anymore, stop holding onto it. What’s amazing is when we hold onto the past it affects our present and it
affects our future.

For instance, if you just got out of a bad relationship where the person cheated on you and it was just a bad experience and you haven’t released that stuff, still holding onto the stuff from the past.

Let me tell you that the next time you meet someone, even though you’re saying my intention is that I want to meet my soul mate and you have this vision board
with this amazing person and you’re in a wedding dress or whatever, you’re still holding onto your past and the negative stuff.

You think you’re moving forward but you’re still holding on, on a subconscious level, it’s going to be hard to attract that into your life. You need to release your past.

The reason I’m saying that is because you might meet somebody. The Universe says here’s your soul mate, this is what you want here’s your soul mate, and you
meet that person and all of the sudden your past starts coming up and saying this guy seems really nice, but he might end up being a jerk too, just like the
last guy. He’ll probably cheat on me too.

Oh my God, I better put my wall up and be very careful and go through this very carefully. Right away you’re bringing your past into your present. That was
your soul mate that the universe sent you, but you put your guard up and all of the sudden the relationship doesn’t work, and it affects your future.

Unleash the past. It’s very important.

When you are afraid of something happening, by the law you attract it, although fortunately it takes real focus and persistent fear to bring it to you. The amount of emotion you invest in not wanting something to happen is powerful. At the same time it is also impossible to bring what you want when you hold so much fear about outcome you don’t want.
Remove your personal investment of fear from what you don’t want to happen, and now use that powerful energy and direct it to what you want.
No matter what you have been thinking or feeling, your power to create something new is NOW.

Contrast helps you to identify desire. Desire is summoning. It’s always flowing through you. You have the opportunity of opening to the harmony of the vibration of your desire or not. As the desires are being summoned through you, and you go with the flow, you thrive, but if you use things to be your excuse for not going with the flow, you are arguing for your limitations. We want to show you how to go with the flow. Which means nothing more than finding vibrational harmony with your own desire, and letting the Universal Energy that your desire is summoning to it flow to it through you. It is optimum creative experience.

STEP 6: To Forgive

The sixth step is to forgive.

This is probably the hardest one of all. Sometimes it’s hard to forgive. We hold onto resentment, things people have done to us even as a child. It might be a
parent or a boss, whatever.

If we’re holding on to any resentment in our lives that has happened to us in the past, it is hard to achieve and manifest abundance in all areas of your life if
you’re holding on to negative stuff inside of you. That is negative energy at a subconscious level.

You need to forgive.

There’s an amazing exercise in that as well. We just don’t have time to go over it right now, but it’s an awesome exercise to really help you release that.

9 Ways To Find Peace Of Mind


There is no question that uncertainty…and worry…seem to have increased dramatically as we all try to cope with such concerns as mounting violence and the effects of the global economic crisis. Yet, there is no question in my mind that, with the right tools, all of us can rise above any situation that life hands us. With this in mind, Susan Jeffers wrote Embracing Uncertainty: Breakthrough Methods for Achieving Peace of Mind When Facing the Unknown to give you those “right tools” which will help you see all that confronts you in a more life-affirming and powerful way. Here are just a few of these tools to get you started…

With your heart set on something, upset is often the result. When you “un-set” your heart, by definition, you are letting go of trying to control things over which you have no control. In all things, you do your best, but then it is important to “let go” of the outcome. As you let go, you are able to breathe a sigh of relief and open the door to a much more powerful way of living. Always remember this…

There is great adventure in the unknown that propels us to discover powerful parts of ourselves that we didn’t know were there.

It’s true…you are more powerful than you could ever have imagined. And it is by pushing through your fears that you discover and use this incredible power.

It helps to un-set our hearts by substituting the words “I hope” with the words “I wonder”. Instead of “I hope I keep my job”, say “I wonder if I’ll keep my job.” Repeat these two sentences out loud and notice the subtle relief in this simple shift. Instead of placing yourself in the middle of the drama, you have placed yourself in the role of “observer”…as if you were watching a good movie unfold. “How interesting. I wonder what comes next.” Even with very difficult situations in our lives, substituting “I wonder” for “I hope” keeps our hopes from being dashed and opens up the possibility of our learning and growing from whatever happens.

When you fully understand that you have little control in the external world, you then have two choices:
1) You can choose to see yourself as a “poor-me” victim at the mercy of circumstances…or…
2) You can choose to develop the trust that, no matter what happens in your life, you will have the inner strength to create something good from it all. You can see why it is important to choose the latter!

One way to develop trust in yourself is to cut off the negativity in the mind by saying over and over again, “Whatever happens in my life, I’ll handle it!” If you say it often enough, you will ultimately believe it! And…

If you really believe that you can handle anything that happens in your life, what could you possibly have to fear? The answer is, “Nothing!”

So when the “what-if’s” are driving you mad, simply cut them off by saying over and over again, “Whatever happens, I’ll handle it!” You’ll feel a sense of confidence wash over you. Powerful…and peaceful… indeed!

Heroes are people who have created much good in this world as a result of horrible experiences in their lives…for example, Viktor Frankl, who created so much good out of his experience in a concentration camp and Ram Dass, who created so much good as a result of his debilitating stroke. As you collect heroes, you realize that…”If they can learn and grow from their experiences, I certainly can learn and grow from mine!” Truer words were never spoken.

You can learn and find strength from ANYTHING that happens to you. For example, Susan certainly learned from and found strength as a result of her own experience with breast cancer. If you see ALL situations in life as a way of learning and growing, it helps you let go of your need for things to be a certain way. So despite what is happening, constantly remind yourself,


When you can see the opportunities inherent in ALL situations…GOOD OR BAD…it truly helps you embrace all the uncertainty in your life.

You may be asking, “How can things be happening perfectly when there is the possibility of so much bad all around us?” Susan’s answer to that is we cannot know the “Grand Design,” the great mystery of it all. Therefore, as we embrace the thought, “It’s all happening perfectly”, we begin looking for the “good” in any situation that life hands us. And when we look for the good, WE ALWAYS FIND IT! Yes, so much good can come from so much that is bad. In that, it truly is happening perfectly.

As we go about our daily lives, we take so many wonderful things for granted. It’s now time to notice. Notice the little things…that wonderful hot shower, that kiss from a loved one, the fact that your car started, that great food you are eating, the warm rays of the sun, the sunset, a candy bar…and on and on. Why is this so important? It is so important because…

As we focus on the good, the bad is so much easier to handle.

It is in the noticing of the little things that you truly get the feeling of a life well-lived. Your noticing is enhanced as you learn to say, while still in the glory of the moment, “I HAVE HAD THIS.” And to take this exercise a step further, write all your I HAVE HAD THIS moments on little slips of paper. Then, at the end of the day, put them into a special I HAVE HAD THIS jar. You will soon have to get a bigger jar! It stands to reason that you worry less and less about the future as you appreciate life to its fullest NOW!

Positive action has an amazing effect on our psyche. As we take action, we begin to feel more powerful and our fear about the future decreases considerably. Keep repeating to yourself…

My life has meaning and I will do whatever I can to make this a better world.

1) Say to yourself, “What am I asked to do?“;
2) Make a list of what comes to mind;
3) Begin taking action.

When you remember that your life has meaning, it makes it so much easier to push through the fear and live a life that matters.

Just as importantly, you will have found the secret to creating a joyous and fulfilling life.

Unsinkable Series (4/14): Step 4 – Remove Meaning

STEP 4: Remove meaning

The fourth step is remove meaning.

What that means is no matter what anyone says to you, no matter what’s happening in your life, you choose the interpretation.

You choose to interpret the situation or choose to interpret whatever someone says to you or does to you, you choose to interpret it a certain way.

Imagine this, this is an example. Let’s say you have Linda and Samantha. The both work for ABC Company, and they both worked for this company for 10 years doing the same job, the exact same situation.

They both get laid off.

Linda calls her husband on the phone and says oh my God, I can’t believe this is happening, she’s crying, I can’t believe it they’ve just fired me after 10 years I’ve been working for this company, this is how they treat me? What are we going to do now? Oh my God we’re not going to find another job, we’re not going to be able to pay the mortgage, oh my God I can’t believe it, this can’t be happening.

Samantha, in the exact same situation, calls up her husband all calm saying wow, honey you won’t believe what happened today. Are you sitting down? I got laid off, can you believe it? I don’t know, something about budget cuts, I don’t know what can you do? You know how things are, and the economy is so bad, but you know what? This actually gives me the opportunity to start looking for a job I really like, and probably actually get a job that pays more than what I’m getting paid now. Anyway, it is what it is, what can you do? I mean, I can’t change it. I’ll tell you what – I’ll meet you at home and we’ll talk about it further and figure
out what we’ll do. I’ll see you soon honey, bye.

See, they each had a different interpretation of their situation. You have a choice to interpret your situation any way you want. If you have that choice, you might as well make it a positive interpretation.

We add meaning to everything that happens to us, and we have a choice to actually remove all that meaning. Linda was saying I can’t believe it, they just fired me, they never cared about me, they didn’t appreciate me – you’re making that up.

Remove that, that’s your interpretation.

Remove all that stuff. Replace it with something positive. That’s remove meaning, I feel strongly about that one.

3 Issues That Keep People From Succeeding


Average people do only 3 out of 10 things they promise to do.
They fail to follow through on 7 things.

They have great intentions, but do not follow through.

3 Issues That Keep People From Succeeding

Imagine how the following issues play out in your life. Think of several personal examples…

1. Bad Habits
Have you ever found it difficult to plan your time? Or have you simply not planned? Have you ever waited until the last minute? Have you ever set up unrealistic expectations? Have you overcommitted and promised to do too much? Have you forgotten what you promised?
Of course you have, and no doubt it has caused more problems.

2. Priorities and Values
Have you ever said you will do something, intended to do it, but never did? It just was not a high enough priority. Procrastination is all about priorities—unfortunately, most people never realize that.
If something is a priority, you do it. Plain and simple. There is now a way to adjust your priorities so that you follow through—with minimal effort.

3. Self-Sabotage
This is an unconscious trap that plagues everyone to one degree or another. Have you ever talked yourself out of something? Have you ever done something against your better judgment? Have you ever stopped short of success? I used to, but not anymore.

Time For Your Reality Check

If any of the following examples of bad habits, priorities, and self-sabotage fit you, make a mental note. It is a good exercise to help you look seriously at what you are doing—or not doing.

– You want to keep your home clean, but…
– A friend’s birthday is coming. You think it would be nice to surprise him or her with a card, but you do not add it to your shopping list and you never buy the card.
– You want to attend a concert when you see an announcement in your email. You think about ordering tickets, but you don’t. You miss the concert.
– You buy a new book, but you choose to sit in front of the television instead of reading the book.
– Flossing prevents gum disease, but you do not floss on a regular basis.
– You vowed to play miniature golf last summer with an old friend. But now it is almost a year later…
– You were going to plant bulbs in your garden last fall, but you never got to it…and now it is spring.
– Fresh foods are better tasting and nutritious, but processed foods are easy to make and they never spoil.

Skip ahead when you’ve had enough…

– You belong to a fitness club, but you do not attend on a regular basis. Your belly is getting bigger and your belt longer.
– You do not praise your spouse as often as he or she deserves.
– You play golf (or tennis, or bridge, or something else) but your technique is lacking.
– Writing down your accomplishments at work may help to get a raise, but…
– You were late, because you had to iron a shirt (or find a matching sock).
– You come home from work tired. Walking the dog would rejuvenate you, but instead you opt for cookies and TV.
– You want to take a seminar, but you do not make the call.

Are you seeing yourself in these?

– You say, “I could slough off the rest of the afternoon. No one will notice.”
– You think about buying a new car instead of changing the oil and vacuuming the one you have.
– You don’t balance your checkbook (or make payments on time).
– Have you ever said, “I will do my Christmas shopping early this year?”
– The garbage stays in your kitchen one day too long.
– You pledge to watch the movie “when the DVD comes out,” but never do.
– You set goals and then forget about them.
– You do not set goals.
– You missed a meeting, because you did not write it down.
– Those darn plants should be repotted…next year.
– Let’s organize a family reunion…some day.

If you see your pattern here, then it is time to do something new.

Even the greatest positive-thinking minds of all time have negative thoughts that can sabotage goals. The difference between them and others is that they know how to use their minds to neutralize the negative stuff…

STEP 3: Keep the end in mind

The third step is keep the end in mind.

When I say keep the end in mind I’m not referring to what your goals are, I’m talking about the end of your life. The end of your life; what do you want to be
remembered for?

That’s what’s most important.

It’s not oh I want to get this car and I want this, and all these material things that we have a tendency here in the Western World to focus on.

At the end of your life, you’re on your deathbed, what do you want to be remembered for?

There’s a truly amazing exercise around this that will transform your life. You need to figure out what’s the most important thing in your life.

You’re focusing on your values, what’s important to you. What you do is you begin living your life aligned with your values. That’s important.

If you are not living your life aligned with your values, you will always feel like something is missing.

At the end of your life; what do you want to be remembered for?

3 Compassionate Strategies For Living

1. Always do your best.
When you do your best, you will be proud of yourself. Being proud of yourself increases your self-confidence. I believe that self-confidence is an important key to success, in your career and in your life.

Beware however: doing your best means that you are laying it on the line. When you do your best, you know that you have no one but yourself to blame if things don’t work out like you want.

2. Treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve as human beings.
Next, every person you meet is entitled to your respect – just because he or she is a fellow human being. The 1970s song “Every Day People” by Sly and The Family Stone says it well. “I am no better and neither are you. We are the same whatever we do.” As human beings we are united by our shared humanity. This shared humanity is more important than race, gender, religion, sexual preference or any of the other artificial differences that people use to drive us apart, rather than being us together.

I choose to treat all of the people I meet with dignity and respect. I do this for the simple reason that they are fellow human beings and as such, are entitled to it.

There are opportunities to do this every day. Smile at the Starbucks barrista and say please and thank you. Realize that the telemarketer who calls at dinner time is probably somebody really struggling to make ends meet. Treat him or her with respect. Don’t just hang up. Listen for a few seconds and then politely ask that you be removed from the list. Be pleasant with the customer service representative when you are calling to report a problem.

If you do this, two things will happen. You’ll be much more likely to get what you want. More importantly, you’ll brighten up someone else’s day. And to me, this is reward enough.

3. Help others with no strings attached.
Finally, be helpful. Give to others with no expectation of getting anything in return. You’ll be creating a win-win situation. You will feel better about yourself, and other people will benefit from the help you give them.

Too many people live their lives in a quid pro quo world. You do for me, and I’ll do for you. While I think it is always appropriate to repay a favor, I also think that expecting something in return for a favor just sets you up for resentment. Some people are not in a position to repay a favor. Others don’t always realize that you’ve gone out of your way to help them. Others just don’t care they take what they can get and never think about helping someone else. Still others might repay your favor by helping someone else.

It doesn’t matter if you never get repaid. What matters is that you are willing to help others. You’ll feel better about yourself for this, and you’ll be creating some positive karma. Ironically, when you help others with no expectation of return, you’ll be surprised by how often others will help you out.

When you help others, you build your self confidence and you help others achieve their goals. A world in which most people are able to meet their goals is a better, happier, healthier world. So give with no expectation of return. You’ll probably be rewarded for your generosity. But more importantly, you’ll be doing your part to make this world just a little bit better.

STEP 2: Choose your thoughts and feelings

The second thing you need to do is to choose your thoughts and feelings.

What’s going on around you is happening around you, but you have the choice to decide what thoughts and how you react to that situation.

You’re not feeling good, you’re not reacting well to it, and your thoughts around the situation are negative. How can you turn it around and start looking at the silver lining?

There’s a silver lining around it.

For me, when I was going through my difficult time, I couldn’t find an exact silver lining. These were the words that really helped me a lot;

“I don’t know why I’m going through this crap right now, but let me tell you, something great is going to come out of it because I’m not going through this
crap for nothing.”

That kept me going.

Even though I stopped resisting not knowing the reason why, I just went with the flow and said I know there‟s a great reason around it, I’m okay with not
knowing right now exactly what it is, but it will show up in front of me eventually because it’s going to be great, and I will make sure of that.

Choose your thoughts and feelings.

AHAS for December 2, 2013


What is the difference between desire and need? How to transform negative into positive? What means when you are in alignment with who-you-really-are? What you just never know?

To desire something is in proper accordance with the law. You attract what you desire. To need something is misuse of the law. You cannot attract what you need if you feel you need it urgently or desperately, because that emotion contains fear. That kind of “needing” keeps things away.
Desire everything. Need nothing.

You have the power to transform negative change into positive, but you cannot do it by resisting the change. Resisting the change is choosing the negative path – you are focusing on the negative, which brings with it even more negativity, pain, and misery.
To transform the negative into positive, first look for the good in every single situation, and as you look for the good things the law of attraction must present them to you. Additionally, command that this change will bring unlimited good and prosperity, and know and believe in your heart as you command it, it must be done. This is choosing the positive path.

When you are in alignment with who-you-really-are, you cannot help but uplift those with whom you come into contact. Your value to those around you hinges upon only one thing: your personal alignment with Source. And the only thing you have to give to another is an example of that alignment—which they may observe, then desire, and then work to achieve—but you cannot give it to them. Everyone is responsible for the thoughts they think and the things that they choose as their objects of attention.

Choose Carefully


Choose your friends wisely. Choose those people you choose to associate with wisely.

Those people who make nasty off-the-cuff remarks may not be your friend. Those people who may be jealous may not be your friend. In fact, any relationship where you feel bad or that there is just something not right may not be for you.

Of course it depends on who these people are as well. If it is a boss who is nasty or condescending then your best bet just might be to do your job to the best of your ability but to always keep your eyes out for something better. It probably is best to also limit the amount of personal information you share as well. Keep your relationship professional and courteous but no more than that.

If it is a relative you might want to limit the amount of time you spend with this person. If they need your help you can most certainly offer it, but again, if you don’t feel good about this relationship then invest a minimum amount of time into it.

If this is a friend then have a talk with them. Let them know how you feel. Let them know there are times you feel hurt or confused when you are with them. A good friend will work this out with you. If they don’t then maybe the friendship has come to an end.

And the same applies to any romantic relationships. When you feel good, when you feel valued and when you are happy to be with the other person then it’s a wonderful thing. But if bad feelings start to surface then it’s time for a talk and a re-evaluation of where this relationship is going.

The bottom line here is that you deserve to feel good about the bonds you forge. No relationship will ever be clear sailing all the time, but a relationship should feel good most of the time. It feels good to be able to depend on others and have them depend on us too.

Unsinkable Series (1/14): Step 1 – Decide What You Want

STEP 1: Decide What You Want

The first thing you need to do is you first need to decide what you want.

That’s important.

You need to figure out what you want, because if you don’t figure out what you want then you’re going to arrive somewhere else. You’re going to get something else that you didn’t expect. You need to really know what you want.

The best way to figure out how to do that is just think about all the stuff you don’t want in your life, all the stuff you‟re complaining about in your life. Think about that so you can write them all down. Although it seems like you‟re focusing on the negative, there’s a purpose revolving around this. The whole purpose of this is to figure out – I don’t want to be in debt for $10,000, okay turn that around and turn it into what do you want?

Turn it into a positive statement.

I want money to flow easily and freely and from everywhere. That’s a much more positive statement. I don’t want to meet anymore jerks – that kind of thing. What do you want in relationships? I want to meet my soul mate who will treat me like a queen and is ambitious and funny, and be specific about what you want in a person.

That’s what you do want.

You know what? I don’t want to work so many hours, I am so tired I don‟t want to work so much.

What do you want?

I only want to work three or four days a week, and doing something I love.

Put that down.

Remember, the first thing is decide what you want.

AHAS for December 1, 2013


Why did you not get a particular thing in your life? Why did you get somebody’s aspects in your experience that you do not like?

If there was a particular house you wanted, or a particular relationship or job you wanted, and you didn’t get it, the Universe is telling you that it was not good enough and did not match your dream. It is also telling you that it has something BETTER and more worthy for you.
Something better is coming…you’re allowed to be excited!

If you’ve got somebody’s aspects in your experience that you don’t like, there’s only one reason they’re there. You keep evoking them with your attention to them. Without knowing about Law of Attraction, you have — through your old habit of observation — achieved vibrational harmony with the parts of them that you do not like, and you keep summoning those parts from them by your constant vibrational offering of them.
